Bei Mechaniken mit geschlitztem Schaft wird die Saite ca. 5cm hinter der jeweiligen Mechanik abgeknipst, oben eingeführt, seitlich umgeknickt und dann um den Schaft gewickelt. Im gestimmten Zustand sollten sich ca. 2-3 Windungen auf dem Schaft befinden.
