These multiple cold-rolled titanium rods provide significant reinforcement to necks. One titanium rod on each side of the truss rod gives the neck considerably more strength and weakens any dead spots that may be present. The special acoustic properties of titanium also improve the sound and dynamics of the instrument.
Titanium is particularly well suited when high corrosion resistance, strength and low weight are important. It is lighter and more resonant than steel and features the natural sound of the instrument. Diese mehrfach kalt gewalzten Stäbe aus Titan sorgen für eine deutliche Verstärkung von Hälsen. Je ein Titanstab auf beiden Seiten des Halsstabes geben dem Hals eine erheblich höhere Festigkeit und elimieren oder schwächen deutlich eventuell vorhandene Dead Spots. Die speziellen akustischen Eigenschaften von Titan verbessern zudem den Klang und die Dynamik des Instrumentes.
Titanium (deutsch: Titan) ist besonders gut geeignet, wenn es auf hohe Korrosionsbeständigkeit, Festigkeit und geringes Gewicht ankommt. Es ist leichter und resonanter als Stahl und hebt den natürlichen Klang des Instruments heraus. KTS zitiert gerne den Bass-Hersteller Michael Tobias, der einmal sagte: „Die Töne scheinen nur so vom Griffbrett zu springen!“
