More gain! Version II features a "Structure"" switch that allows you to choose between the familiar gain structure of the first version ("V1") and a higher gain mode ("hot") or even a lower gain mode ("low") ! In addition, this new version contains an overvoltage protection circuit that prevents damage to the tube if a power supply with more than 9V is accidentally connected.
This analog overdrive/distortion pedal features an ECC83/12AX7 tube. In order to operate the tube under the same conditions as in a real tube amplifier, the standard power supply of 9V is increased inside the pedal to 250V. And this is exactly how the ECC83 delivers that unbeatable overdrive experience that we all love and know from overdriven tube amps.
The KALUNA is intuitive to use, reacts exceptionally touch-sensitive and delivers harmonic overtones that make the guitar sound extremely organic, "catchy" and three-dimensional. The pedal also features an active three-band tone control. Not only does the Vahlbruch KALUNA definitely sound different from typical solid-state overdrive/distortion pedals, it never dominates the natural sound character of the guitar and the amp.
The pedal requires an external 9V/500mA power supply. The manufacturer recommends the BOSS PSA 230S or a comparable low-noise model. Never operate the pedal with more than 9 volts!

Ausgestattet mit dem MagTraB-Schaltkonzept:
Alle Fußschalter sind als Taster ausgeführt. Im Tasterkopf ist ein Magnet eingearbeitet, dessen jeweilige Position von einem Sensor im Inneren des Gerätes erfasst wird. Wird der Taster nun bewegt, z.B. wenn er nach unten gedrückt wird, verändert sich natürlich auch die Position des Magneten. Diese Änderung misst der Sensor kontaktlos und gibt sie über einen Mikrocontroller an ein goldkontaktiertes Relais weiter, das dann ohne jegliche Zeitverzögerung den eigentlichen Schaltvorgang durchführt.

Schritt 1: Ziehe die Stromversorgung ab.
Schritt 2: Drücke und halte „MagTraB".
Schritt 3: Stecke die Stromversorgung wieder ein.
Schritt 4: Loslassen des „MagTraB" Schalters.
FERTIG! Beim nächsten Mal startet dein Pedal in dem anderen Zustand.
