The Alamo is a solid Korina body Lapsteel Guitar with ivory finish, featuring an integrated easy shift capodaster, the famous Multibender bridge system and two Vintage Trouble Singlecoil Pickups.
The freely configurable Multibender is operated with the heel of the picking hand. Up to six levers (one per string) can be installed, which allow you to either raise or lower the notes on the individual strings to a preset setting, which achieves pedalsteel-like bendings and harmony changes. Furthermore the integrated Easy Shift capo, which moves on a rail in the fretboard, enables freedom of movement between all keys without sacrificing the typical lapsteel riffs and licks that rely on open strings. A roller nut provides tuning stability. The new Vintage Trouble singlecoil pickups deliver great tone with a rough and wild timbre, combined with a fast attack and rich overtones that only singlecoil pickups can deliver. The Duesenberg Speed pot controls work with a path of just 70° in order to achieve the lapsteel’s typical swelling “wah” effects.
Die Alamo ist eine Solidbody Lapsteel mit Korina Korpus, integriertem Easy Shift Kapodaster, zwei Vintage Trouble Singlecoil Pickups und Multibender-System. Sie kommt im Ivory Finish.Der frei konfigurierbare Multibender wird mit dem Handballen der Anschlagshand gespielt. Er kann mit bis zu sechs Hebeln (einem pro Saite) ausgestattet werden, mit denen Töne wahlweise angehoben oder abgesenkt werden können. Das ermöglicht mehrsaitige Bendings und fließende Akkordwechsel ähnlich wie bei einer Pedalsteel. Mit dem integrierten Kapodaster, der in einer Schiene im Aluminium-Griffbrett läuft, kann man ruckzuck die Tonart wechseln und muss nicht mehr auf Lap- und Pedalsteel typische Licks und Riffs unter Einbeziehung der Leersaiten verzichten. Ein Rollensattel sorgt für Stimmstabilität.Zudem verfügt die Lapsteel über ein Duesenberg Speed (Tone) Pot, was mit seinem kurzen Regelweg von nur 70° die für Lapsteels üblichen Filter-Sounds ermöglicht.
