    Beim Kluson Lockhead Klemmsystem wird die Saite durch das horizontale Loch im Schaft gezogen, bis sie halbwegs straff über den Bünden liegt. Wenn man jetzt den kleinen Zylinder von oben im Uhrzeigersinn mit einer Münze (5 Euro-Cent) festdreht, wird die Saite durch einen kleinen Stift im Schaftinneren in der Querbohrung festgeklemmt. Danach kann dann ganz normal gestimmt werden.
    Das Schöne an dieser Mechanik ist, dass sich der Zylinder im voll gelösten Zustand quasi im Leerlauf befindet und deshalb niemals abfallen und verloren gehen kann. Außerdem funktioniert die Mechanik auch ohne Klemmung!
