4/40 thread. Fits Gibson electric guitars with ABR-01 tune-o-matic bridges (look on the underside of the bridge for the ABR stamp), Pre-1972 guitars and vintage re-issues. Filing the string grooves is still required. The manufacturer recommends a diamond file for that.
Titanium is particularly suitable when high corrosion resistance, strength and low weight are required. It is lighter and more resonant than steel and supports the natural sound of the instrument. The result is an airy and defined frequency response with excellent sustain. And the strings don't break as often.
Set mit 6 Stück. US-Gewinde. Passen auf Gibsons ABR-01 Tunomatic Brücken (auf der Unterseite der Brücke muß ein ABR Stempel sein). Diese Brücke ist auf Pre-1972er Gitarren und den Vintage Reissues drauf. Diese Reiter sind nicht vorgekerbt. Vom Hersteller wird für das Kerben der Saitenführungen eine Feile mit Diamantbeschichtung empfohlen.
Titanium (deutsch: Titan) ist besonders gut geeignet, wenn es auf hohe Korrosionsbeständigkeit, Festigkeit und geringes Gewicht ankommt. Es ist leichter und resonanter als Stahl und hebt den natürlichen Klang des Instruments heraus. Praktisch macht sich das durch ein luftiges und definiertes Frequenzbild mit hervorragendem Sustain bemerkbar. Und dieSaiten reißen auch nicht mehr so oft!
